The Forgotten Umbrella

Felix forgets his umbrella and gets caught in the rain, so he buys a cheap one on his way home.
Felix leaves for school in the morning. The sky looks gray and cloudy. His mom says, "Take your umbrella!"
"I don't need it," Felix says. He walks out the door fast. He forgets his umbrella.
The school day goes by quickly. Felix studies, eats lunch, and talks with friends. He does not think about the sky.
School ends. Felix walks outside. Big drops of rain fall on his head. The rain gets heavier every minute.
Felix has no umbrella and no jacket. He starts to walk home fast. His clothes get wet very quickly.
He passes a small shop on the corner. The shop sells umbrellas in the window. Felix stops and goes inside.
"How much is that blue umbrella?" he asks.
"Just four dollars," the shop owner says.
Felix takes out his money and pays. He opens the new umbrella outside. The rain stops hitting his head.
He walks the rest of the way home. The umbrella keeps him dry. Felix thinks about his mom's words.
He opens the front door and steps inside. "I bought an umbrella," he tells his mom.
His mom laughs. "Next time, listen to me," she says.
