The Prank That Came Back Around

Enzo's rubber spider prank on Layla backfires when she gets him back with an even bigger surprise.
Enzo loves playing small jokes on his classmates. Layla is his favorite target.
On Monday, Enzo hides a rubber spider in Layla's backpack. She screams when she finds it at lunch.
"That was a good one," Layla says, laughing. "But I'll get you back."
Enzo doesn't believe her. "You never win our joke wars," he says. "You're too nice."
Layla just smiles and says nothing. She spends the whole week planning something.
On Friday, Enzo opens his locker and something falls out. Hundreds of small paper stars cover the floor.
"What is this?" he asks, staring at the mess. A note falls out too: "Have a colorful day! — Layla."
His classmates walk by and laugh at the sight. Enzo picks up star after star and puts them in his bag.
"Okay, that's actually pretty good," he admits. "How long did this take you?"
"Three days," Layla says proudly. "I cut every single star myself."
Enzo shakes his head and smiles. "Fine, you win this round," he says. "But I'm already planning my next one."
