The Storm During Their First Date

A sudden rainstorm interrupts Owen and Maren's first date at the food trucks, and they end up enjoying it more than their original plan.
Owen waits outside the food trucks at six o'clock. This is his first date with Maren. He checks his phone two times.
Maren arrives a few minutes late. "Sorry, the bus was slow," she says. "No problem at all," Owen says with a smile.
They walk past the food trucks and pick one with noodles. They carry their food to a small table outside.
The sky turns gray while they eat. Owen looks up and says, "I think it's going to rain soon."
Big drops fall on the table. Maren laughs and grabs her bag. "Run!" she shouts.
They run under a store roof nearby. The rain falls hard and fast. Their noodles get wet, but they don't stop laughing.
"Well, this isn't the date I planned," Owen says. Maren laughs again. "It's fun this way too," she says.
They stand under the roof and watch the rain. Maren asks about his job. Owen asks about her trip last month.
The rain stops after twenty minutes. The street looks clean and wet. "Same time next week?" Owen asks.
Maren smiles and nods. "Bring an umbrella this time," she says. They walk to the bus stop together. They talk about the wet noodles.
