Picking a Wedding Gift

Lucas and Nina debate between two wedding gift ideas for a friend and settle on the one they think will be remembered.
Lucas and Nina are going to a friend's wedding next month. They want to bring a good gift. They can not decide what to buy.
The first idea is a nice kitchen mixer. Their friend loves to bake on weekends. A mixer will help her bake more easily.
The second idea is a weekend trip voucher. The couple can use it after the wedding. It will give them a short, relaxing break.
Lucas likes the mixer because it is useful. Nina likes the voucher because it is a special memory. They talk about it for a long time.
"A mixer is nice, but everyone gives kitchen gifts," Nina says. "A trip is different, and they will remember it."
Lucas thinks about his own wedding gifts. He remembers a candle he never used. He does not remember a small trip his uncle gave him.
"You are right," Lucas says. "Let's get the weekend trip voucher instead."
They buy the voucher and wrap it in blue paper. On the wedding day, they hand the gift to their friend.
"This is for a weekend away, just for you two," Nina says. "Congratulations!"
